Megan Sabo’s bio:

Megan Sabo is the Director of Employee and Community Relations at Cardinal Scale Mfg. Company in Webb City, Mo. and teaches private and group piano and guitar lessons out of her home in south Joplin, Mo and online. She is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University with her B.A. in Music, is currently working on her Masters In Management at MSSU, is the President of the Joplin Area Piano Teachers Association, and is a certified Cecchetti dance instructor. 

Megan’s passion (besides teaching piano lessons!) is helping the community. She has volunteered with organizations including: the Joplin Humane Society, Rebuild Joplin, Children’s Haven, Webb City Chamber of Commerce, Meal-a-Day Fund of the Americas, and Webb City CARES. She enjoys doing mission work with her husband through their church. They have spent time in South Africa helping preschools in townships and assisting in Bible Education Centers.

Megan was born and raised in Webb City, Mo. Megan and her husband, Jonathan, currently live in Joplin with their dogs, Doxie and Zuzu.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that there are three main components to learning music: 

1) the instructor who gives the knowledge, 

2) the student who listens and reviews the concepts at home, and 

3) the parent/guardian who provides support. 

I aim for students to learn and to have fun at lessons as I believe that if children do not develop a love for music, they won’t be engaged. 

I hope to inspire them for a lifetime!
